CalvaryStand Print Ministry

What Makes Calvary Stand Different?

Providing Low Cost Gospel Literature to Missionaries, Evangelists and Pastors.

Probably the most interesting aspect of our ministry is the press itself. We have an HP Indigo Offset Digital printing press. It offers great quality at affordable costs for short runs. We are able to print the same offset quality without costly film or plate changes. No set up time between print jobs.

Digital means that if you need 1500 tracts, but you would like half of them to say one thing and 300 to say something else and the rest to say something else still. (Well, we might get a bit confused), but the costs will be no different even though the art has to change multiple times. We can even print books or magazines one at a time with no cost difference. Most printing costs change depending on the quantity and number of set ups. Not so with Digital.

Some Missionaries pay $300 for 10,000 prayer cards. By the time they use 1,000 of them they have changed a phone number, or one of their children has grown up and the photo needs to be updated. This means many of these prayer cards get thrown away. We can print 500 at a time for a cost of about $25. When they are gone we can print 500 more and make whatever changes are necessary.

Graphics

Bro. Bill Goins has over 25 years in the Graphic Arts field. We can help you with your design needs. Even if you don’t need printing done we may be able to help with the artwork. Click here for some examples of our design work.

What Can Calvary Stand Print?

We print for Baptist Ministries.  If you are a man of God and have a Baptist Ministry for which you need, (Prayer Cards, Visitation Pamphlets, Tracts, VBS Material, Book Covers, Magazines, Newsletters, Flyers, Book Marks, etc.) and you agree with our statement of faith, WE WANT TO HELP!

Why Full Color?

Some might say, “Don’t waste money on all that ink.” “You should spend less per tract by printing one color and print more tracts.” “The important thing isn’t the graphics, it’s the message.”

We agree that the most important thing is the Gospel Message within the literature we print. But, when you give a piece of Gospel Literature, the recipient is accepting a Gift.

Let’s say you go to the store and buy a present for someone. The item is the important thing. But, if you wrap it up in nice wrapping paper and and put a bow on it. Suddenly it isn’t just an item you went to the store and bought. It is now a GIFT. The wrapping shows you went to a lot of trouble. And it shows.

Think of full color Gospel literature the same way. People know when you have gone the extra mile. A Gospel Tract or Church Visitation Pamphlet can be an all important first impression. And though we who are saved know that the most important thing is the message. We have to remember, we are usually giving them to those who are not saved.

Why the Name “Calvary Stand?”

The name “Calvary Stand” has multiple meanings:

  • A news “Stand” is a place one goes to buy important literature. What GOOD NEWS could be more important than the Gospel message of Christ?
  • Also the word Stand is short for Standards. In this day of Liberalism and compromise, Calvary Baptist intends to hold to Biblical Standards. This is not Legalism. It is letting your light shine before men.
  • Finally, Paul said in Ephesians 6 that we should “Stand against the whiles of the devil.” and that we should “Stand therefore” having the whole armour of God. – Ex 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD,… – Samuel said, 1Sa 12:7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD,… – God asks, “Ps 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?” – Isa 40:8* The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. – 1Co 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong. – 2Th 2:15* Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

There are many more bible examples. Obviously, God intends for us to stand firm on His word in this wicked world.

We have heard many people declare that they look forward to seeing the nail prints in Jesus’ hand. We look forward to it too. But, before we ever see the nail prints in His hands we will be looking at the nail prints in His feet as we kneel in humble adoration and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. As we kneel there looking at those scars it will be impossible to forget just what it took for Him to take a stand for us. The question is, will we be able to say that we took a stand for Him.

Because He Took a Stand For Us

Bro. Larry Styles is a prison and jail ministry preacher who has a great testimony. He was in prison himself many years ago, and now tries to lead others to Christ.

For years now he has been handing out literature of his testimony. He made these himself in black & white and they have been a blessing to a lot of people. One of the first things we did when we got our Print Ministry started was to redesign and print his literature in full color. News Channel 12 in Chattanooga got hold of one of these and called Bro. Larry up for an interview. What a blessing!

It is a tri-fold and is full color inside and out. Our cost on these is only about 12 cents a piece. Bro. Larry calls when he is running low and we print another 500-1000.
