What To Expect

When you visit Calvary Baptist Church, you can expect a warm and friendly welcome. Whether it is at the door, in the pew, or during our times of fellowship, we want to make sure that you are entering into a family type atmosphere.

Calvary offers a nursery where you can take your baby or young child if you need to attend to them in some way, but does not staff the nursery with workers. The services can still be heard, and viewed through a one-way window.

Singing and Special Music
Every service gives you an opportunity to join us in singing of hymns and spiritual songs. The choir is such a blessing and you will be able to listen in a spirit of joy and worship. You can also enjoy the sounds of blue grass gospel and special songs sung by some of our members.

There is no replacement for Bible preaching. Paul said in I Corinthians 2:4, “And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power”. Real Bible preaching will do five things.
1. It will exalt the savior
2. It will expound the scriptures
3. It will expose sin
4. It will exhort the saint
5. It will enlighten the sinner

Prayer is an important part of the believer’s life and is the lifeline of any church. Calvary meets before services on Sunday night at 5:45 pm in our men’s and ladies prayer rooms. We have times of prayer during our services and any other time as the Lord may lead us to do so.

Invitation to the Message
At the end of the message, our pastor will extend an invitation as the Lord leads. This is a time for many to respond and make life-changing decisions. During the invitation or as the Lord leads the individual one may come forward to trust Christ as their personal Savior or to grow deeper in your commitment to follow Christ. Whatever your decision may be, the altar is always open at Calvary. For others, this is a time to bring needs to the Lord in prayer. There will always be qualified counselors there to help you in your time of need.
